We’ve been preparing for 2 years from once we first agreed to sail the ARC, we’ve had various sea training courses and first aid courses. 

The crossing will take approximately 17 days and we have had a practice sail of 10 days round the Meditarrean, Spanish mainland and Balerics.

We’ll firstly sail the boat from Palma at the beginning of August to Las Palmas in Gran Canaria in preparation for the rally, this will be approx. 1400 nautical miles, even before we start!

The biggest challenge will be 17 days at sea, an ocean crossing we are 1000 miles from nowhere!
